With the help of a GLCSF grant, Gull Lake Community Schools Gateway students visited MSU's Kellogg Bird Sanctuary and Manor House in September enjoying activities that included the learning laboratories, a nature walk, and etiquette lessons.
Michigan State University’s W.K. Kellogg Biological Station is a place where people come to increase their understanding of natural and managed ecosystems and their linkages to society. The Station includes the Bird Sanctuary, the Conference Center & Manor House, and the Farm & Pasture Dairy. Richland Elementary's Karen Koets and Erika Zimmer are back from an inspiring Michigan Reading Association summer literary conference! Two of the authors featured in break-out sessions were Debbie Diesen (Pout Pout Fish) and Lester Laminack (Three Hens and a Peacock).
